Top 5 Motherboards for i5 7500 in 2021

1. Asus H110M-K- The Best Affordable Motherboard for i5 7500

Asus H110M-K

The Asus H110M-K is very good for i5 7500 as it is available in a brand new condition and comes at an affordable price tag of just a little over $100. Amazing isn’t it?

The H110M-K is a Micro ATX Motherboard that sports LGA 1151 socket. It not only supports i5 7500 but also supports most of Intel’s 6th and 7th processors and this is the main reason why I’ve recommended this mobo for Intel’s i5 6500 Mobo too. The mobo has two fan exhausts to cool down the processor and the best about the fan is, you can easily control it with Fan Xpert software.

In terms of design, it looks just okay but the build quality of the mobo is amazing. Also, there is no RGB lighting here so, keep your expectation a little low in this department.

When it comes to storage, you’ll be getting 4 SATA III ports and Asus has offered 2 cables in the box itself which is a good thing. One of the major drawbacks of H110M-K is that there are no M.2 slots for SSD, but if it doesn’t bother you much, you can ignore this issue.

There are 4 DDR4 RAM slots on which you can install up to 32GB of RAM. It is good enough to play games and run multiple applications in the background. For gaming, there is one PCIe 3.0 slot PCIe 3.0 running at x16 and also there is one PCIe 2.0 x1 to install sound cards, wireless cards, etc.

There is a total of 6 USB 2.0 ports and 4 USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports offered on this mobo which is pretty decent. Unfortunately, there is no USB Type-C available here. Also, you won’t be getting a Wi-Fi adapter with this mobo and you’ve to get it separately which won’t cost you more than $10-$20.

The Asus Z170-A is again an excellent mobo that is perfectly compatible with i5 7500. Just like the above Asus H110M-K, this mobo also supports 6th and 7th Intel core processors. If you ever want to experiment with 6th gen CPUs, you won’t need another motherboard.

If you didn’t like the H110M-k for its basic design, then you are surely going to love this black and white accent look for Z170-A. It looks very attractive and it also has RGB lighting which will make the mobo more attractive in the nighttime. The heatsinks are also in a Silver metallic accent which also looks very unique and clean. Enough about the looks now, let’s move to the more important stuff now.

If for some reason you want more RAM than 32GB, then there is good news for you. This mobo supports up to 64GB RAM and the maximum RAM speed is 3200 MHz when it is overclocked. The port selection of Asus Z170-A is pretty decent. You’ll be getting 2 USB 2.0, 2 USB 3.0, 1 USB 3.1 Type-A and 1 USB Type C. The inclusion of USB Tye-C is going make a lot of difference as it stands out from its many competitors.

3. Asus Prime Z270-P- The Best Gaming motherboard for i5 7500

ASUS PRIME Z270-P

The third option you have is also from Asus but I promise this will be the last one. This is also a used motherboard but again it is tested and perfectly good to use. There is nothing to worry about that. If you have been looking for the Best Motherboard for i5 7500 and GTX 1060 for gaming, then this motherboard is for you.

The Prime Z270-P costs slightly higher at around $300 but it is surely worth taking a look If you have this kind of budget for a used motherboard. Let’s see what it has to offer for its pricing.

The Asus Prime Z270-P Motherboard comes in the black and gray accent which looks pretty average but not too bad either. The build quality of the mobo is again excellent just like my other Asus Mobos. Apart from i5 7500 processor, the mobo also supports the 6th/ 7th Intel Core processors of i3/ i5/ i7, Pentium, and Celeron processors.

You’ll get 4 SATA ports with Z270-P and you would get 2 SATA cables in the package itself. The unique thing about Asus Prime Z270-P is, it comes with two M.2 slots but there are some limitations to use both the slots at once. As usual, there are 4 DDR4 RAM slots available on this mobo with a maximum capacity of 64GB. For gaming, you’ll be getting 6 PCIe 3.0 slots. 1 of them is running at x16 while the other runs at x4 and x1.

The port selection by Asus on this mobo isn’t up to the mark. There are 8 x USB 3.0 ports and 6 x USB 2.0 ports offered but there is no USB Type-C like the above Asus Z170-A which is pretty disappointing in my opinion.

Pros

  • Supports multiple platforms.
  • Suitable for gamers.

Cons

  • Slightly expensive.

Important Specs:

  • Compatible with 6th/ 7th Gen processors.
  • Dual M.2 slots

Gigabyte GA-H110M-A

The last option in our list is from a big giant who is known for producing and delivering world-class motherboard i.e Gigabyte.

Recommended: Gigabyte vs MSI Motherboards: An Ultimate Comparison of two giants

The Gigabyte GA-H110M-A comes at an affordable price of just $150 but it has few limitations. The board perfectly supports the i5 7500 processor as well as most of the 6th and 7th gen processors out of the box.
